Two French and Two Chinese riding vintage sidecars from Shanghai to Paris
The Silk Road, as well as being an ancient international trade route, is also a splendid cultural bridge linking the cultures of Asia. The Side by Side crew will drive along this mythic path through some of the most hostile environments this planet holds.
This crew of French and Chinese sidecar adventurers will be the first mixed crew to do such an expedition going from Shanghai to Paris covering over 17,000Km in just 100 days while putting on record their different perceptions of this adventure.
The Side by Side expedition will film the evolution of its four main characters. collecting their impressions and perceptions throughout the adventure. The focus of the expedition is to compare the perceptions of the adventure through four different perspectives:
- a French expatriate woman,
- a returning Chinese man who lived and worked 6 years in Europe, he represents the new China,
- a Chinese man of the countryside who represents the mass of the 1.3 billion Chinese,
- a French man, entrepreneur and expatriated since 1999.
